Biography

Raised by his single-parent mum, Porchfield’s tumultuous upbringing spurred a deep connection to music, first ignited at 4 years old during his first Glastonbury Festival.

Inspired by live sets from the likes of Pharrell Williams, Stormzy, Mark Ronson and Jorja Smith, Glastonbury became an annual escape that helped shape both his music and outlook.

Porchfield’s music originates from his small bedroom, where he first taught himself production aged 12 using Bandlab before moving to Ableton, whilst unable to read music.

In summer 2024, Porchfield was hugely impacted by We Out Here festival, where he attended teaching sessions at Toni Grehan’s DJ tent and Ezra Gray’s sessions in the audio production tent. Developing an affinity with Moby, Porchfield quickly began honing his sound and soon found a studio with mentorship under Ed Kelly, who continues to guide him through editing and mastering his tracks.

Whilst completing his first original tracks in November 2024, he secured his first gig at ‘The Reckoning’ where he met internationally-acclaimed music programmer Chris Tofu (MBE), later inviting Porchfield to join him onstage, alongside soul-singer, Debra Lee.

In 2025, Porchfield’s tracks broke their first public airings, with two live sets at Camp Bestival's Caravanserai stages and several plays of his singles 'Section 7' and 'Uriah' on BBC Radio Manchester & BBC Introducing. He was further inspired by seeing Nubiyan Twist, Jalen Ngonda and 4am Kru live after returning to We Out Here, and Goldie live at Camp Bestival.

Porchfield’s genre-blending tracks remain an honest reflection of his journey; driven by a deeply personal connection to music, an escapism from adversity, and allowing him a voice which may have otherwise remained silent.

Porchfield is currently working on his first album, which he hopes to release in 2026, and is available for bookings and collaborations.
